Tuesday 2 October 2018 at 4.30 pm the second multiplier project event was held in Florence at the Giardino Torrigiani.

The meeting, entitled “Beauty and usefulness: the double soul of historic gardens”, provided the opportunity to present the progress of the European project “Campo dei Miracoli” and the outputs so far achieved in enhancing the productive dimension of historic gardens through workshops and experiential visits aimed at people with Down Syndrome and other physical or intellectual disabilities.

For the occasion, the fourth volume of the monumental work “I Giardini di Firenze” by Angiolo Pucci was presented, dedicated to the “Gardens and private gardens of the city” and together with the curators of the work, Prof. Mario Bencivenni and Arch. Massimo de Vico Fallani, the Hon. Monica Baldi, President of Associazione Culturale Pinocchio di Carlo Lorenzini , Dr. Antonella Falugiani, President ofAssociazione Onlus Trisomia 21, Dr. Eleonora Pecchioli , President of Associazione “Per Boboli” , and March. Vanni Torrigiani.

The certificates of participation were also presented to the students who took part in the various workshops and, exceptionally, it was possible to visit the synergic garden of Serre Torrigiani, deepening the methods of organic and environmentally sustainable cultivation.
