Project mobility in Madrid

Madrid, Spain All the Italian partners moved to Madrid where, in order to promote a solid exchange of ideas and good practices, they were welcomed by the Rey Juan Carlos University and the Yehudi Menuhin Espana Foundation to see what is being done in Spain in scope of the European project Campo dei Miracoli. The first days were spent to visit Real Jardìn Botànico of Madrid and School CEE Juan XXIII, the place where the “Grow a Garden” workshop was held, followed by a visit to the educational garden. Spring festival

Florence, Italy We were present on the occasion of the 34th edition of the Spring Festival organized by the Istituto Tecnico Agrario di Firenze. On this day dedicated to sharing and nature we told the numerous participants about the many activities under way in the European project “Campo dei Miracoli”. A gold sequin to Davide Astori

Florence, Italy We are proud to announce that one of the Golden Sequins made during the botanical goldsmith’s workshop was delivered this morning to ACF Fiorentina as a medal in memory of Davide Astori. Tour to “Giardino Torrigiani”

Florence, Italy The experiential guided tours of the European project Campo dei Miracoli  have begun to experiment new forms of use and teaching in historic gardens. The first visit took place at the monumental and enigmatic Giardino Torrigiani in Florence, where the participants were able to discover a fascinating place in the city following olfactory scents in mint meadows, recognizing edible shoots and observing particular plants in the greenhouses and in the synergistic vegetable garden. We thank the Torrigiani family for their warm welcome and in particular the Marchese Vieri Torrigiani Malaspina  for accompanying us during the visit.

Europe Day

Florence, Italy On May 9th, Europe Day, the first module of the workshop “Paese dei Barbagianni”, in progress in the garden of the Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella, has been completed. For the occasion, while the participants involved in the project completed the fertilization of the rose garden, the members and friends of the associations involved were able to admire the result of these first seven months of work with a guided tour of the garden, orchard and vegetable gardens. MiBACT Award

We are proud to announce the important recognition of MiBACT for “Campo dei Miracoli” project which, in this 2018, European Year of Cultural Heritage, aims to promote historic gardens in their agricultural and productive dimension through numerous activities aimed at people with a syndrome Down and other disabilities. The aim of the project is to stimulate innovative practices, oriented towards participation and social inclusion, experimenting with new forms of use and teaching that contribute to enhancing “our” beautiful gardens.

Horticulture workshop

Florence, Italy Thanks toIstituto Tecnico Agrario di FirenzeIstituto Tecnico Agrario di Firenze horticulture workshops continue to teach young people involved in the project how to take care of vegetable gardens and gardens. In the last lesson, the seedlings of hot pepper sown during the first lessons were transplanted in the vegetable garden. Botanic goldsmith’s workshop”Albero degli Zecchini”

Florence, Italy Thanks to LAO – Le Arti Orafe Jewellery School, botanic goldsmith’s workshop continues. In the last lesson, while the participants involved in the project prepared the silicone molds with which gold sequins will be coined inspired by plants, flowers and fruits, the editorial team of theem>Corriere di Trisomia 21TRISOMIA 21 has documented the ongoing activities with video interviews that will soon be put online.
